About the Event
Lincoln Minute Men at the Captain William Smith House: The home of William Smith, Captain of the Lincoln Minute Men in 1775 is one of the surviving “witness” houses in the Park, and from its windows, the Smith family watched the events that day. The house is only open three times each year, when the Lincoln Minute Men are there to talk with visitors about the Smith family, the house, and the events of April 19, 1775. Our activities in the house include 18th century sewing, children’s games, musket drill, music, card games, clothing demonstrations, musket displays, and demonstrations of 18th century crafts or trades.
