A short parade to the site where the town of Bedford erected a Liberty Pole in 1775, with a ceremony in which a Bedford minute man scales the pole and tops it with a red knit Liberty cap.

About the Event

Attend the parade and ceremony where local Minute Men groups re-enact the climbing and capping of a pole in Bedford Center.  Free event. Parade is along Great Road (Rte 62) in Bedford, beginning in front of First Parish (between South Road and Elm Street), heading west to Willson Park where the capping of the pole takes place.  Parade then returns to the high school.
